Current Grades K-4

Grades K-4: Defense Camp

This camp will focus on the fundamentals of throwing, catching, infield play, and outfield play. Basic fundamentals of pitching will also be covered. This camp will be held Monday, June 21st through Thursday, June 24th, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. with Friday, June 25th as a rain day.

Grades K-4: Offense Camp

This camp will focus on the fundamentals of hitting, bunting, base running, and offensive strategies. This camp will be held Monday, June 21st through Thursday, June 24th, 12:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. with Friday, June 25th as a rain day.

Current Grades 5-6

Grades 5-6: Instructional League

This camp will focus on implementing fundamentals into game play. Each morning and afternoon session will have a 45-minute practice followed by an instructional game. Coaches will stop play to offer instruction and games strategies will be taught. This camp will be held Monday, June 21st though Thursday, June 24th with Friday June 25th as a rain day. Sessions are morning 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and afternoon 12:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Campers may sign up for an individual session or for both morning and afternoon sessions. Campers are urged to wear appropriate clothing and footwear for outdoor play and base running. Campers should bring their own baseball glove, and should bring their own bat if they have one. It is recommended that all personal items be clearly marked with the Camper’s name. Campers registering for both camps are responsible for their own lunch. Campers should bring their own water. Supervision is provided during the lunch break. Campers must have a completed Emergency Contact form (see registration form) on file to participate in either camp.

Instruction will be provided by the Eagan High School coaching staff, varsity players, and former varsity players. Camps will be held at the EHS Varsity field.

Costs, which include a Camp T-shirt, are $55 for one camp or $100 for both. Camp proceeds, beyond costs incurred, will be donated to Eagan High School Baseball.

Current Grades 7-HS

Prospects Camp

This camp is for the player serious about improving his skills and competing at the highest level possible. Open to players who have completed grade 7 through high school, but have not played Varsity Baseball, this camp focuses on fundamentals, mechanics, and advanced baseball techniques. Pitching sessions will attempt to coordinate with the players’ summer program to limit the number of pitches thrown. Arm care will be stressed.

Sessions will be offered in pitching, hitting, and fielding. Each session will include an analysis of the players’ current level of skill. Players will be taught the correct mechanical foundation of each skill and will be given drills they can work on throughout the year. An emphasis will be placed on the player’s understanding of the mechanics of each skill so he can learn to self evaluate. Drills will be tailored to their current skill level and structured to give them the tools to improve.

Pitching and hitting sessions will be held on Monday, June 14th through Thursday, June 17th with Friday June 18th as a rain day, session times are 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Each session meets for one and a half hour each day of the camp. Players should signup for one session for each area of skill instruction. Players may register for multiple sessions. For example, a player wanting instruction in pitching and hitting would register for two sessions. The fielding session will be held on Monday, June 14th through Thursday, June 17th with Friday, June 18th as a rain day 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Each player must have a completed Emergency Contact form on file to participate in any camp.
